SBC Missions
Three times a year NBC takes up an offering for Southern Baptist Church missions’ emphasis: Georgia Barnette is dedicated to helping fund missions and ministries within our state. The money received is used by God to transform the lives of people and churches in Louisiana. Lottie Moon is dedicated to supporting international missions worldwide. We join with millions of other Southern Baptists to reach the world for Christ. Annie Armstrong is dedicated to giving hope through the sharing of the gospel in North America. Thousands of missionaries are supported, as well as many opportunities, bringing hope across our land.
Each summer Vacation Bible School is held at NBC for the children in our church and community. An offering is taken up during VBS and given to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home. Each Christmas season, we also fill a sock tree with socks for the children living in the home. Their mission is to provide love, care, and hope in Christ for children and families in need.
A new ministry for Northside Baptist Church is Operation Christmas Child. Gift boxes are packed and sent to children around the world and each gift is accompanied by the message of the Good News of Jesus Christ. The act of showing that we care enough to send gifts demonstrates His love to other.
Northside Baptist Church partners with the Walker Baptist Church Food Pantry in reaching out to our community to meet the needs of its people.
