About Us
Northside Baptist church is a thriving, growing family of faith, firmly rooted in Scripture. We thoroughly enjoy worshiping and serving Christ. Because He has poured out so many blessings on our church family, we want to share them with our community.
Anyone wishing to worship God, experience genuine Christian relationships, or participate in some form of ministry provided by God's church would certainly discover a warm welcome at Northside Baptist Church. Our ministries, being rooted in scripture, allow everyone the opportunity, regardless of age or previous religious background, to learn something that will enrich their lives.
Our Church is small enough that we know each other and consider ourselves to be "family". Yet it is large enough to offer multiple opportunities to worship, to grow spiritually, and to serve the Lord.
-We offer a multitude of Sunday School classes each Sunday morning at 9:15am where you are invited to learn as you grow stronger in your faith.
-Our worship services begin on Sunday mornings at 10:30am in addition to our evening Bible Study at 6pm.
(We provide a fully staffed nursery during each of our Sunday morning worship services for infants, but we also provide a 'Children's Church' for our elementary school aged children.)
If you are not actively involved in another church, we would love to have you be our guest. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or prayer needs that you or your family may have.
- Northside Baptist church is a member of the Southern Baptist Association, Louisiana Baptist Assocation and the Eastern Louisiana Baptist Association.
Our Beliefs
We are a Church that believes in:
Prayer -
God hears and responds to the prayers of His people. Our prayer groups welcome
the prayer requests of all, not just church members.
Worship - The
nature of Christian worship is from the inside out and has two equally
important parts. We are called to worship “in spirit and in truth” (John
4:23-24). Our worship should not be self-serving. Instead, it should stand on the Word of God alone. Casual dress is appropriate.
The Bible -
The Bible is our sole source of authority for doctrine and practice. We believe
it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any
mixture of error, for its matter.
Forgiving Grace -
The atoning death of Jesus is sufficient to forgive all sin. "If we
confess our sins He is truthful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness". -1 John 1:9
